I teach all levels of Spanish with an emphasis on intermediate and advance level courses. My interests include second-language teaching and learning methodologies and technologies, community-based and service-learning pedagogies, intercultural competence development, Latino immigration and related issues. I direct the Duke in Costa Rica program (Summer Study Abroad) and teach the course, and coordinate the Intermediate Spanish Program (SPAN203) at Duke.
